My first contact with linux was in 1996, when I was a student. Since 1999 I am working with linux on a daily basis. I also have good knowledge of virtualization, networking and knowledge of Storage Area Network, Fiber Channel switches, Windows Servers and Active Directory.
Starting with 1’st of April 2015 I moved to Berlin and I work as a System Architect. Before this date I worked in Bucharest, Romania.
Specialties:
– Administrating linux servers (Debian, Ubuntu, Red Hat, CentOS) with all kind of applications: web servers (apache, nginx, lighttpd), database servers (mysql, postgresql, oracle, elasticsearch), monitoring tools (nagios, icinga, cacti, munin, check_mk), dns, mail servers (postfix, axigen, sendmail, qmail), proxy servers (haproxy, squid, varnish), versioning software (git, subversion, cvs), scripting (bash, python), configuration management tools (puppet, ansible, salt), firewalls, live streaming (Adobe Media Server, Wowza Streaming Engine) etc.
– Administrating public cloud infrastructures (AWS).
– Administrating virtualization infrastructures (VMWare, KVM, Xen, Proxmox).
– Administrating storage systems (EMC, IBM and HPE SAN systems, Brocade FC switches).
– Administrating network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers).
Since March 2011 I am a Red Hat Certified Engineer.
